It does, indeed make a colourful shot. The arm agianst and reaching toward the sky is symbolic. Here, we have small ribbons, not bracelets.

Really great concept and execution, Alison! It really is a very symbolic photo, especially with the reach for the sky - always searching for something to support, something to be a part of... People these days seem to want to wear all their causes, beliefs, positions, one their sleeve!

Clever shot Alison. It certainly is colourful!I like the way you've done this - the arm reaching up symbolic of reaching up for help. Very resonant to the subject of the shot. I also like the blue sky behind - almost suggesting hope of better times. Very clever and well composed.
