About This is a shot of some stairs at my brothers house leading to the roof which has an amazing view of the valley and volcanos, these stairs are narrow and a typical style in old colonial homes.

I like the lighting and shades in here Alison.
What a coincidence, I've uploaded a similar photo but for the staircase of a minaret from the inside:

Yes I do have a few volcano shots but not many. It was the rainy season and they were covered almost the whole time. Alison

i'd like to visit this area at some point in time. central america is a place i've never been, but i do think it holds some interest for photography.

this type of image is exactly as i pictured inside an old colonial home.

Really nice design and patterns - I think I tried to get a shot like this when I was there last, but it didn't come out.

Oh this is good Alison. It has a nice design to it, but I really like the colors. Amost monochromatic, but not quite. This is very pleasing.

A donde llevará la escalera?...:-)
Bien compuesta...un poquitín oscura para mi gusto...nada mas...
Un gran abrazo!

This is very reminiscent of british castles too... although the direction of the spiral doesn't work for a castle (in a castle the spirals work the other way so defenders in the tower have a good swing with their right arm and sword whilst attackers are restricted - fine if you were right handed!).

Looks like you are having a great time there... and I'm not envious in the slightest (ok - I'm lying - I'm green with envy!).

Great shot here too. The spiral staircase (always a favourite of mine) draws the eye well into the picture and creates an interesting abstract.

Enjoy the rest of your break!

Alastair
