Yeah , I agree with you about the man in the blue shirt but I can't remember if that was a customer or her dad (or other relative) kinda helping. As I'm sure you know, it's SO HARD to get isolated shots in these type of crowded markets. Either you get a candid before they see you or , as in this case, the subjects more than happy to pose but people mingle around doing their daily shopping so it's hardly ever empty or even near empty....What to do......... (I've had so many street shots ruined cause of this, oh well - maybe PS will help a few)

Trying to stir up trouble? Me? Perish the thought! :)

It does bring up an interesting point, though. There's an awful lot of hypocrisy and hysteria, especially in the UK, about photographs of children. Most people wouldn't bat an eyelid at seeing a photograph of a starving African child, or a South American street kid. But just you try and take a candid photo of their own kid, and you are likely to be reported to the police as a potential paedophile.

And if you offered the kid money... uh-oh!

Anyway, I like the way you have captured her beautiful smile. I just wish the guy with the blue shirt wasn't in shot...

......No, not at all.....In rich countries - I have a laminated GNP list in my pocket - I buy them (if it's an adult) a few liters and then we go to the local strip club (unless it's an adult female then I giver her my American Express card and send her off to Versace or Armani - her choice)....Ain't that nice of me? People ask if I do something for these children so I thought I'd answer it ahead of time this time..... Angelo, you're just tryin' to stir up trouble cause you KNOW I'm gonna kick yer ya-ya's in Darts someday - hehehe :~> (Don't worry mate, it won't be THAT painful !!! :~) Not like losing the World Cup or anything......) Obrigado, Mark AKA Robin Hood

Dear Tahsin, No, this was a few years ago but I hope to go again late this year. It's a wonderful country that I 've visited about 5 times. All the best, Mark
