Hi Ant....

C.

Ant,

Your most wecome and think nothing of it, as it only took 5 minutes of my time... If you had my tools you could be very dangerous my friend...

I bought my Son the Rebel XT with a battery grip, Lexar 2GB, 80X, Pro card and a Lowepro bag for Christmas. If you had that, I would have to hang up my camera, because you would blow everyone else away IMHO... Your a natural...

You should think about doing this for a living,

Martin

Ant,

I do love this 1 indeed. I hope you don't mind, but the forground was a bit to hot for me, so I touched this wonderful capture up a bit...

Darkend the whole photo, then I used the lasso tool to outline the hot spots and darkend it...

Well done indeed,

Martin

I love this shot as I favor raw, gritty, true life street photography. Your title is very fitting. It even makes me a bit sad knowing that in all the world, this guitar may be his one and only possession. I have to agree with the overexposure though. Yes, some things are best left undone, but with a great shot such as this, I think it is worth it to attempt to correct it in some editing program. It will do the photo so much justice. At any rate, I like the shot a lot.

thanks for the comments...alastair,this photo was uploaded without any editing done at all to it. this is how it looked when i took it and this one pic i thought i would leave as it is. some are better left untouched..i will edit it though for personal use though. thanks much! appreciate ur time to look at it

On a technical note its a bit overexposed so the whites are blown out - the legs and pavement in particular have lost all their detail. Its also lacking in tonal depth with no real blacks anywhere. Compositionally however I quite like it. And as a piece of social commentary it hits the spot.
