About Shooting fireworks off Naples pier. One firework exploded before it got in the air and this is the outcome of an unexpected snap. (No one injured) Alot of motion but for some reason I like how it turned out. Comments please.

WOW that does look dramatic Marilyn, I am pleased noone was injured here.

We lost our "local" pyrotechnics expert just over a year ago through an accident. His family still continue with the displays though !

Best wishes,
Steve

Marilyn, you've captured a tense atmosphere here. Very nice shot.

My goodness Marilyn, it looks like the little house on the pier blew up! I'm with you, the motion blur works very well, great shot!

(I ususally am shooting pics also but when the fish start biting, I'm there with the pole in the water!)

Night photography as well now. Is there no end to your talents. Magnificent capture. I can see this on a billboard outside a cinema trailing the current showing film. Well done.

Much better, it gets rid of the blank space on the left. Great

Kate, I actually was thinking that but wasn't sure on this one. Thanks for your helpful comment. How's this? Marilyn

Nice picture. I like the different reds and oranges in the picture along with the pin lights of the explosion. My only critisim would be that the explosion is too central in the picture and perhaps a little cropping to push that to one side may have given the surrounding area more imact in contrast with the bright light. I like it's dramatic feel, more like a war zone than a firework party. weel done for capturing the moment.

It looks like something that could have been a disaster, but instead you got a very colourful shot of it, Marilyn! I'm glad you were ready! I like the silhouetted of the boat on the water.
Dave.
