Canon's got thier act together when it comes to processing the image data. I looked at some of the shots in your portfolio and they're very sharp.Amazing camera.
I've already got a selection of lens from my 35mm system so jumping to a Dslr isn't a big problem glass wise. I've been shooting Pentax since the days of the Spotmatic so the ist D or DS will be my Brand. Leaning toward the DS, liked the feel of it better than the D. Tried them both at the local Pro Shop (lol), not a lot to grip on the D.
When this 7hi plays out I'm going to take a look at the Canons, like what they do.
Off to the coast for a week of vacation and shooting, love that Pascagoula River Marsh.

I still can't get myself into those large DSLR's, but that me I guess since millions are using them.
What I did test out recently was Canon's PowerShot S2 IS (because of it's 12 zoom)
It actually blew away my Konica-Minolta A2.
There's also a conversion lens that would take it over the 600mm range...unreal for the size & price

Hi Joe,
It's a labor to process the scanned negs. I'm a Pedigree Geek so I don't mind so much. Lately though I've been having sooo many problems getting film processed that I'm going to end up getting a DSLR. My Minolta 7hi doesn't reach out far enough for my bird shots, some of which are at 1000mm.I figure the crop factor will come in handy on the DSLR.

thanks Dana, I did get film scanner but after trying it for a week or so decided to return it.
Just to time consuming for me. So I don't really shoot too much 35mm film, when I do I get only negatives & a CD for about $6.
Digital has just too much over using film...mainly you know if you have something good 'while' the subject is still at hand.

Definately colorful, Good macro shot, compositions good, DOF is a little shallow but plays well with the image.
Did you scan this yourself ? I ask because I replied to your forum post regarding film scanners and was curious if you got one.
