I know it?s such a cliché, but I saw tons of bees hard at work at Bok Sanctuary and I just had to snap one. I didn?t have my macro lens with me (I could just kick myself) so this is with my regular zoom lens.

This is beautiful Laurie. Superb green and gold colours, well composed and with a DOF that retains sufficient background to enable us to see whats there but blurred enough to draw the focus back to the bee. I know you were using the 28-135mmm lens but what focal length and f/stop were used? Just from curiosity....
Excellent job Laurie, I love the flower with the bee, and the one behind it without the petals, great composition, the colors are wonderful, very good selective dof, and I know what you mean, I usually don't carry my camera, try getting a picture without that, hehehehe...wonderfully done...:):)Linda
