About

I purposely went for a blow out in the water. I know that isn't to everyones liking but it is what I was aiming for....i liked the foreground detail and the smooth water and didn't want too much detail across the water.

This image was taken early on a cold, rainy morning...so the light was quite weird.

The water blow out suits the title wonderfully. Very expressive.

The best thing I like about this capture Judi, Beside the wonderful details and contrast of the foreground, Is the way the sky is meeting the water in a wonderful fading effect,
very well done,

Yes, in this kind of light a long exposure is necessary.

Great composition, Judi. The ghost-like dissipearance of the sticks into the water is quite mystical.

I think this water looks icy and cold, Judi. A very nice contrast to the warm rocks in the foreground. Well done! Regards and thanks for your kind commnets, Larry.

Sure, Judi, this works.
(oh, you never need to apologize for a shot, especially when it's intended).

Great textures draw the eye in for closer study.

Me thinketh thou doth explain too much.... just post and stand firm. Ya don't have to qualify so much. Hold true to yer shot. Look---shoot--post.. the rest of the world be damned.... Good stuff J.

well the ocean does offer a bit of non existance... i mean it just goes and goes until you cant see anymore.. so i totally get the title and thought behind it.. there is great detail in the foreground... i like it nicely done...
