About REmember this one Lee ? the Moose was bedded down in the woods your were standing to my left in the little clearing. I set up the tripod and stuck the lens through the limbs to get this limited shot. Distance from lee and I to the moose about 20 feet.
This is a wild animal and after I shot this photo, he started to make grunting noises associated with displeasure. Accordingly, Lee and I left the area.

Lee, thats a way better shot than mine. you can see the look in his eye, he is getting tired of the attention !!!

I think the short hop out there would be good, stay in Grandby again and I'll fly , do it later so its cool and we know the ruts are on !! with you driving, we can go over the top ;-)
i;ll lay down on the floor in the back !!
Flatlanders don't do so good over 5,000 feet.

O' yes I remember this Moose, 30 minutes earlier we seen him chase a photographer.
Beautiful Moose...a bit of a attitude but still a beautiful Moose.
That was a fun time, I hope we get to do it again this year.
You fly into Denver or Ft Collins and I will pick you up and away we will go.
Here is a crop of the same moose after he got up.

A lot of atmosphere to this shot, Jim.
Okay, it's not perfect, but what a moment to get so very close to such a magnificent beast!!
Best regards, Chris
