hi CorrieLynn - it's a magnolia, which were blooming here about a month ago. And it's true, they don't really look like they belong on the west coast of canada but here they are, blooming away in a few different gardens on the island. Such a treat. :O)

A really fine composition - looks like a Japanese print or ink painting in layout.
May want to consider brightening the image? Could be my monitor.

I really like the soft brownish back ground color...goes well with this flower. (some terquoise would be cool too;) What kind of flower IS this? It looks really asian but i know youre in bc...just curious. Love your florals ;)
