This picture is the first I am posting with my new camera. In this picture I set my shutter speed for 4 seconds and waited to see what I would get once developed. Feedback appreciated.
excellent shot, Try prime lens they are more sharper than zoom lens. I use a 50mm more than any of my zooms. if you like more info on this subject popular photography & imaging magazine (November) has and a artical on water (Go With The Flow)
Your choice of film is excellent. The DOF seems to be very deep. Since I don't know the DOF setting I can't comment on the 4-second shutter speed.
Although, I would go for a shallower DOF with a little faster shutter speed... Just a thought of mine... Try 1/4, or 1/2 of a second...
That would give you a blurry background, while giving you a bit more clarity on the water...
There again I don't know how quick your lens is, but you could get a quicker lens with a fixed focal length for low light shots at a reasonable price on eBay...
Maybe a 50mm 1:1.4 lens, as it's pretty fast. I'm only guessing, but your 28-100 is around 1:3.5-4.0?
I'm ignorant about Minolta glass, as I only have Pentax, Nikon, Tamron, and Canon glass...
