About Taken in ambient light. I took this man's photo about three years ago, printed it and sent it to his address, so he gladly posed for me this time. I don't particularly like this "posed" kind of photo, nor do I expect the commentators to like it. I think , however, that their minds will change when they see him in the next two photos.

Dear Rafi,

I do not think this is "posed" as such. The smile seems very spontaneous, sincere and unposed. He is clearly engaging with the photographer. Eye contact helps to add interest to the viewer. The fill-in flash has been put to good use and there is a lovely pair of catchlights in his eyes.

Nice work.

A very nice Portrait dear Rafi, doesn't look posed at all..He has a warm face and a wonderful smile, and you captured it well, good lighting, and the colors are vivid. Are you enjoying your new camera? A very lovely portrait...:):)Linda

It's hard to get people to smile this freely, so I have to hand it to you for making him feel so at ease. It's posed, but doesn't have that awkwardness that you might be referring to in a lot of shots.

I like it! Your subject looks very relaxed (that is so important in portraits) and his expression is really great. Very well done! :)

It actually doesn't look so purposely posed. He has a wonderful smile and a welcoming face. Great shot, Rafi. Now, he must get back to work while you try more shots with your new camera.

That is a great smile. I looked at all 3 pictures and I think the reason he is so happy is because he knows no matter what people will always need a garbage man. Job security. Well done dear Rafi.
