David, thank you for your comments. Yes this is the PS Motion Blur. I used layers and brushed in the non blurred image from the BG layer. Several distractions have also been removed. I think if you read all the comments on this image I had posted the original...
Thanks Again!

You just know how to make something look fast! :) I can see why this is your favorite. I think its my favorite from your series, too. Is the motion blur the PS filter or did you find something better?

thanks James. The front feel don't seem to turn when they come of the line. Don't ask me why. It is amazing to watch. Pure horsepower! This was taken at the starting line at the drag races. If you check out the other comments I think you'll find the original shot..
As for the extension tube, I used a body cap and a rear lens cap and a two inch to two inch rubber sewer pipe coupler. $2.97 :-) I do like to do macro work and plan on getting a real set of extensions that will give me back my AF and apeture control. I do not like the extreamly shallow DOF I get with the home made job but, it's still fun...
As for the "Film Rules :^)" It is made in jest... I have no problem with digital and am obviously not a film purest as can be seen by by images. I do love film however. GIve me one of your ultra fast lenses and a roll of E100G or another high end color slide film and I make you a photo that will nock you socks off...
The camera you use, I drool over and will own one some day. but you are never the less stuck with that one sensor. With film I can change sensors at will. You can make images with your camera that mimick AGFAPAN 50 but they just won't be the same... But like I said, I am definatly no purest...
Perhaps one day I'll sell some prints and be able to afford one of the new medium formmat digitals... 23Mp... But they are a fortune.. :-(

Really neat!! The "stationary" front wheel caught my eye as being a bit out of place. I would imagine that it was still turning even though it was off the ground, so maybe some rotary motion blur would be in order. In any case, it's a stunning image, and you executed your vision well.

Thanks Fadel. Your input is allways greatly appreciated...!
I left the front wheel unblurred because I wanted the fact that the car was doing a "Wheelie" to be known. Also, I don't know if it would resemble a car anymore if I blurred too much more than I have, ( I was kinda thinking what I had allready done was too much )

Another beauty in the series Pat! You did great work, the only thing that I think is missing is blurring the front wheel too. I didn't notice it until I saw the original and started comparing, beautiful work!

yeah.. having the front wheels come off the ground is normal of course (I only managed that once with my old GTO :)) but for some reason it looks different here, guess because of the blur effect... regardless, it is a great photo!

Superb motion blur, this works really well and gives a much better feel for the crazy acceleration fo these cars than any 'non-adjusted' shots I've seen.

I like this added blur much better than that previous one. Much smoother, in my humble opinion.
A very good shot to begin with, amazing how the wheel has lifted off the road.
I would be curious to see the original, as I'd like to see the back wheel. Here, it has been burned out, it seems. Not sure why.
