About As so many of my recent rose photos were taken at the City of Glendale, Az Historic Saguaro Ranch Park, I felt that the least I could do was pay tribute to the beauty that is found there. The Main House and another building is in the background of this photo. A tiny portion of the lovely rose garden is just behind this pink flower bud. Would have liked to have shot this more to the left so that the palm tree was more to the side - but for whatever reason - they get testy if you tromp around amongst the rose bushes. Go figure. More photos of their lovely roses in future uploads.

Thank you Toshi - I look forward to new uploads from you. Already commented on your cactus flowers that have the additional attraction of a spider web. Very well done. Jan

Thank you Mary - I really liked this one too. I took over 150 shots this afternoon - and there are a bunch I believe are good enough to upload. We shall see. Jan

Thank you very much for the compliment Marcos. Honest, it is a real house and very large. Have only seen the outside, but when it cools off I will take a tour of the inside. I don't want to "rush" in to anything - have only lived in this area for 23 years and there is still so much to see. Jan

Thanks Evelyn, I really appreciate your comments. Even tho I really would have prefered that the palm tree NOT be directly behind the rose bud. Oh well - other than that I did like the shot. It sure was hot tho. What we "suffer" in the name of huh? Jan

Great depth of field and composition Janice. I really like the angle, and the colors you've captured are very pleasing to the eye.

Your three new posts are lovely, Jan. They are all good, but I like this one the best. The composition is great with the beautiful rose centered and showing us things from her point of view. Well done.

Pretty funny, Janice -- I fully understand the idea of positioning the photo "just so" and appreciate having that latitude in my own garden. Even so, I often take the picture for the benefit of the subject and figure I will deal with the background somehow, later. You have combined both foreground and background in a perfect way here!! Each is given it's own space and prominence and they are comfortable with each other. Does that make sense? Anyhow --very nice composition. And thanks for your nice comment on my pic, The Time Has Come.
