Linda, Thanks for your kind comments on this and my other waterlilly shot. I have a few more that I'll be uploading in the next few days.
The program I use to edit these is Paint Shop Pro and its pretty easy to apply soft focus in it. Just go to adjust---->softness---->soft focus. After that it's just a matter of playing around with it to see how soft you want it. Of course you can always buy soft focus filters (they're pretty cheap) and get the same effect. I have a lens from canon that has soft focus built it, but I didn't have it with me at the time. Thanks again for your kind words--they are always appreciated. :)

You have achieved such alovely effect, the soft focus works well, a stark BW might have lost the quality of the lovely water lily, this way it keeps the soft feel of the flower Excellent Margaret
