Amazing detail! I have been photographing these too, recently, but never get quite the resolution you managed here. All the pollen splashed about and the residual drops of water are superb.

Peter,
I think you are being overly harsh on yourself when you say you are "not a good enough photographer to post any without some PS work".
Doesn't look like much PS work went into this one, and it looks fantastic. Good tight composition, nice use of the light...
If all you did was a crop, some minor levels/curves and a bit of Unsharp Mask, that's what I call a straight shot! These adjustments are the minimum required if your camera does not already do them automatically. This is because most images come out of the camera flat, with low contrast and lots of details. The levels and curves actually *remove* detail to give you a more pleasing image with more natural balance. Same thing goes for USM.
It is also good to see that your presentation is now much more in tune with the delicate nature of the flowers you photograph so well.
I really ought to comment more often on your images!
