About This building first captured my eyes
entering downtown Melboure . It appears to have a feel for much history oozing from the begining maybe a hundred years ago. The palm tree sets if off like a tie to a shirt.

No see what threw me was you said Melbourne and being an Australian I thought it was Melbourne in Victoria Aust!! and the palm tree is way out of context there with it being so far south.. I do like the sad looking building tho and its almost like the palm is trying to cheer things up but not succeeding. Nicx social observation statestyle.. you should check out Anne Texter's work on this sight... its a bit melancholy but very sweet at the same time have a good day

What interests me in this is the stark contrast between the quality of the architecture in back versus the front buldings . . . demonstrates the devolution of the art form . . .
