Well spotted Art.... I can see it now you have pointed it out... though I find if you look closely there are faces in many stones as well as tree's... the magick of mother nature ;o)

I think this is great and think it's great to play around with light. You should experiment with different light sources. I've been taking photo's of rock formations using a big candle as the only light source - no flash. The effect is really cool. Nice work Sue.

This has to be seen in the large format. The rocks like crystal like. Wonderful lighting, Sue and your composition is great.

Interesting effect from the flash, Bob's right it looks glass like - certainly not like rocks at all, I think that's because there is very little detail in the rocks surfaces. The direct flash has left no shadows therefore no modelling, I like it very much.
