About When they turn the pages of history
When these days have passed long ago
Will they read of us with sadness
For the seeds that we let grow
We turned our gaze
From the castles in the distance
Eyes cast down
On the path of least resistance

Cities full of hatred
Fear and lies
Withered hearts
And cruel, tormented eyes
Scheming demons
Dressed in kingly guise
Beating down the multitude
And scoffing at the wise

The hypocrites are slandering
The sacred halls of truth
Ancient nobles showering
Their bitterness on youth
Can?t we find
The minds that made us strong
Can?t we learn
To feel what?s right and wrong

Cities full of hatred
Fear and lies
Withered hearts
And cruel, tormented eyes
Scheming demons
Dressed in kingly guise
Beating down the multitude
And scoffing at the wise
Can?t we raise our eyes
And make a start
Can?t we find the minds
To lead us closer to the heart

Bits & Pieces Gathering Together Part II : now we climbed up the stairs you see on the previous piece called "higher ground", walked through Lions Way, passed accross the arena, turned back, zoomed a bit, and shot! This is the Lions Way and a piece of arena, from the other side..

Excellent capture, Onur!! And I really like the "about"! I would love to see this shot composed from the stairs, up...with more of the city and mountains in the background. An excellent shot, as is, though!

Also, thanks so much for your detailed comments on my "Deep"...I really appreciate it!

Regards
Jan

a little misunderstanding Jeanette: by the leadership of Ataturk, great commander and first president of Turkish Parliament, we, the Turkish nation, made a fareweell to kings and the Turkish Republic is born. thank you for the "real" comments you write to my each work, who's the best? you know it ;)

A farewell to the king that belived in "Peace at home and peace in the world"....that whats strikes me, when remembering what you wrote in the previous about! ...and this about, cities full of hatred, fear and lies.... I can see there?s a DEEP significance for you and it should be for all living creature on this world. Also it gets so symbolic with the about and the cityscape we can see further away - even though that city has nothing with it to do!!! (?) ...But who knows, my mind run away with me :)
Excellent and strong work dear Onur!
