About Trilliums bring life to the northern woods, a place I walked recently, thinking of my dog who died the day before. She often walked beside me on backpacking trips and the woods was a place she loved. A truer friend I could not have had and she was beside me in spirit and always will be. The love and devotion of a pet is purer than humans could ever truly understand.

Larry again, go with white for the background here on UF.

In Photoshop:
Open the image
Double click the background layer on the layers pallet
The New Layers box will pop up, say ok to the default of :
Layer 0, Color None, Mode Normal, Opacity 100%
Now:
On the top command bar:
Image; Canvas Size ? whatever size you want. Make sure you set your color first for the background. If the background is transparent, don?t worry, when you get the grid it will go to the background color when you flatten the image before saving.

Layer pallet:
Double click Layer 0
Double click Drop Shadow on the Layer Style Box
You will get the controls box up; there you can play with depth, width, on and on.

When you are done, flatten the image and save as a different file name, which you already know.
That?s what I do, there may be a simple one step way, but I don?t know it.
Hope this helps

Larry, it's me again. We can trade--if you used PS for the dropped shadow, do you mind telling me how you did it?

This is so pretty. It reminds me of walks we used to take wih my Father through the woods. This time of year there were scenes just like this. Thanks for the pleasant memory.
Mary
So, you were obviously thinking about the frame on my picture as you came back the next day to ask about it. I learned how with directions from Bill Voizin on UF. Do you use PS? If so, I'd be glad to pass on the instructions.

Ellie,
Thank you, I love the beauty of nature, untouched by us humans, showing what it can truly do. And thank you on the dog, I could feel Betsy next to me.

I love this kind of flower growing in the woods. Sorry about your dog. I'm sure she was there with you in spirit.

Thank you Margaret. All I could see that day was Betsy dog running in the woods, it felt right.

A lovely image and one very fitting - I am so sorry - dogs are true friends and I know you will sorely miss her. A special photo
