The vignetting of the lens adds to the mood. Well done Sue.

I like the justaposition with the old tree stump and the sprightly new tree behind, life goes on eh? The vignetting makes it look like a pinhole photo a bit, nicely done. :~}

And I can understand why you like it. You use the dark vignette very effectively to support the mood. Good work, --George

Nice composition and presented well. Unfortunately, I think you were a bit heavy handed with the vignette on the sky. I like what you've done on the lower left corner but I'd like to see the top corners less darkened (less obvious). I think you are on the right track here and i think this is a picture worth working on, it's well composed.

Thank you Len... this is one of the things I like so much about this tree stump... it really has some nice jagered edges to it... I'm sure it's going to be popping up quite a lot in my composits... lol
Thanks again for the comments... always welcome & appreciated. Sue xx

It is an interesting stump. If you isolated it from the rest of the scene, it would seem almost like a mountain in a fairy tale. Nicely framed, the scene stirs the imagination (unless I'm just looking at it rather late on at night)...Thanks for posting it...
