Wonderful Photograph Julie, Great colors, clarity and Composition. I see you're shooting with a FinePix S3000. One of my cameras is a S3100 (4mp version). I was out shooting today with it. I Plan to post tomorrow some of these shots.

Seems to be some variation of a suculant or what we call Ice Plant that is not that uncommon here in the Southwest. Your composition is nice but the shadow coverage on the left takes away from the overall presentation.
