Mike-- what a wonderful shot!!! Makes the heart of an old retired soil scientist "soar like a hawk". This is gorgeous in B&W-- could go on a soil science book, but also make a neat abstract. Mahalo. Craig

Are these what they call the "badlands" ? Eroded agricultural land .. your shot is very documentary as it show the gullies from down to the top, where you see the remnants of fertile soil sticking on top .. very good b&w, texture and exposure are very good ! Peter

Excellent image, your use of lines, patterns and texture have all combined to create a interesting and dramatic abstract landscape. Well seen and well composed.
Thanks

Very nice. I believe you would find much inspiration in the formations around Cappadocia, Turkey. For a moment the light wisps of vegetation made me wonder if infrared film could have been involved - reminded me of a few samples I had seen. Thank you for sharing.
