About This charming structure is on the grounds of Marble House. The mansion itself was built between 1888 and 1892 as a summer house for Mr. and Mrs. William K. Vanderbilt. After their divorce in 1895, and her remarriage, Mrs. Vanderbilt had a Chinese Tea House built on the seaside cliffs, where she hosted rallies for women's right to vote.

Ken, Thanks for your comment. I've not been able to open the site, though. When I paste in http://www.kentheteaman.com/new_page_1.htm
the site starts to open, and then the browser closes. I also tried http://www.kentheteaman.com with the same result. I would like to see the piece. Any ideas? --g

George,

Interesting Chinese facade. Some how the chinese archetecture is always cute and lovable.

Ho Tea stuff ! and bit of history as well.

Here is a bit of TEA history from america. Have you heard of 'liberty tea' - this story might be little bit interesting

kentheteaman.com/new_page_1.htm

ken.

Great explanation. I like the presentation using the foreground trees to frame the Tea House. The image seems a bit tilted to right, but just an observation. Nice image -- Kind regards, Rafael
