Thanks for the comments. The much maligned milkweed, considered a noxious weed by local authorities here, is a fascinating plant all year long. The flowers are amazing, a globe cluster of small pink blossoms. The plant is a favourite hangout for Monarch Butterflies, and the bursting seed pods are a highlight of the fall season. I encourage everyone to take a closer look at the common milkweed.
