Thanks Peter, I like your crop. It sets a better mood for the picture eventhough I aimed for the sun and played around to get it exploded like that. You and con ong were right, the brightness distracts the mood. I have another shot with a softer light source, thanks to your comments I did not throw it away. I used PS to adjust the color and it came out nice.

Very nice composition, branches on top made the light source not too bold, reflection on water light up the detail of tiny waves, small trees in bonsai form at the right strength up the composition. Then a big branches reaches out from center split into two, one reaches the light source one reaches water . Burn in the hightlight and brighten the shadow then we might see the streak of light pour from sky to the water.
Just too bright a light source kill the blue mood of a moonlight night, crop it out we loose the detail of upper branches and the picture loose the center with the central branch reach up to nowhere. Try to crop just the brightest part of light source and leave some upper branches.
Nice picture with great composition.

Thanks for adding me to your friends list. This is a wonderful Phototgraph Kiki. The colors are awesome. Composition is good. I feel that the water at the bottom is the main subject and the brightness at the top distracts. I tried to tone down the brightness but was unsuccessful. I did a crop of the top and it seems to have brought the subject back to the water. See attached example. I hope you don't mind.
