I read somewhere the species (red ear slider) is native to the south of US, but then on some page they were saying about it being introduced to western europe. I just hope it'll make it because at the moment I took the photo I didn't think the poor thing might need to be rescued.From what I've read it was a mature female maybe, because I'd say it had about 30 cm and that's about as big as they get. I don't know for sure ...
The pink think must some weed or part of a leaf on the forest floor.

She looks exotic to me... I doubt there are such creatures in the wild in western Europe. She has a sad expression on her face :).
Nice colors. What is that pink thing in the background? (it distracts slightly)
