Maybe a touch to much contrast but otherwise a super shot, the warmthof the light brings out the texture in the brickwork and the placement of the boat balances the shot really well.

The impressive ruins of this large priory show us an amazing architectural old style.
Although I agree about the modern construction amid of it being somewhat spoiling, I think the perspective is great.
Superb image, beautifully captured.
Regards - Emgy

A fine image of a great old structure. You are so lucky to have such history, and people willing to preserve it. In Canada our national sport is not lacrosse, but the demolition of buildings more than 20 years old!!!!
In this pic I love the composition, and soft colours. The ship in the background contrasting the old and new is also a nice touch. I'm not sure your lens does justice to your composition though. The walls seem a touch soft. Then again that might be the result of the sizing process, or even my monitor.
Congrats on a fine photograph Mark.

Great composition, very good light and colours ..
Pity almost that amidst the ruins, there is that modern building rising .. something you cannot help of course !
