About We walked in the cold air -
Freezing breath on the window pain
Lying waiting

A man in the dark in the picture frame
So mystic and soulful.
A voice reaching out and a piercing cry

It stays with you until
The feeling is gone
only you and I
This means nothing to me

This means nothing to me

Oh Vienna -

The music is weaving -
Haunting notes pizzicato strings

The rhythm is calling
Alone in the night as the daylight brings a cold empty silence
The warmth of your hand and a cold grey sky

It fades to the distance.

The image is gone
only you and I
This means nothing to me

This means nothing to me

Song - Vienna
Artist - Ultravox

Okay I set myself a challenge. I have taken silhouette shots in the past of children and trees and who knows what else. This time I decided to silhouette a moving truck over two miles away. I also aimed to capture it in the large sun ray that was breaking through the clouds. I managed to do it. The glare at the top is the sun through the clouds...there wasn't a great deal I could do about it.

I hope you like something a little different.

No PS work.....as is!!

Light Splash

The Power Of Man

Determination....

Through the grasses

Sanctuary of heart

it's not the way that you do it

It's a Dog's Life

Softly does it, girl

Vienna has been one of my favourites for a long time. I am a 60's girl...therefore I like a lot of the 80's songs.

DIDI, the position of the truck in the scene is perfect. This shows that how big human creations are, they are nothing in front of natures vastness.

Great shot. Very dramatic, Judi. What white balance did you use to achieve this? Wonderful!

Hehehe....you should know my weird ways by now. When have I ever done anything normal. So why would I start by choosing a different type of song for this image.

Just like photo rules....break them and discover that they actually work no matter which way you press the shutter.

Hi Jusi - well done for pulling this shot off. I agree that the glare top right (has a slight blue cast to me - but that could be my LCD monitor making it worse) is a little distracting - maybe either PSing the worst of it - or even cropping the very top right out would help?

Another great shot. I would *never* have picked Vienna to go with this - but somehow they really work together Well Done

Thanks Dan. No I didn't get a chance to take close ups of these power lines, although I did take one of the powerlines in a couple of rows. I uploaded that yesterday...I think from memory it is called..."I can't live with you". These shots were taken during breaks in the rain...so I couldn't venture from the car to far.
