nice shot. The frame, symmetry, contrast and color looks great. But it seems to me that there is too much space at the top.

Very nicely composed, the mostly rounded shapes and the straight lines of the cross. Yes, all the different textures are very nice. The right and left sides give a nice allusion to the arches. -- Naomi

This is great! I am drawn first to the great space atop the arch in the foreground. (That's centuries at work.) Next I love the repeated shapes of those solid Roman arches against the back wall. Unceratin as to what you mean about a "religious statement." Is the cross not a Christian cross but just a structural coincidence? I am simply curious. Whatever--it is amarvelous composition.
