Yes...I guess I put that badly. We get so used to the autofocus that one forgets to use the manual focus. It's a problem with the photographer, not the camera :-) Regards, Larry

I don't consider it an actual problem with autofocus...it's just in a complex shot like this one the AF chose to focus on something other than what I wanted

wow beautiful bird, how did you get this shot through the branches, really nice job, I see he has his eye on you..... really wonderful perspective not often seen as its hard to get focus when a bird is that deep in a tree. 7sssss for you....
