A wonderful shot Lea. The lighting is excellent, coupled with the different textures makes this an exciting shot for little to no action. I especially like the feeling of voyerism given with the shade half-drawn. My only complaint is the black speaker box (?) - wish it was out of the way but this is not your doing and it is a great photo none-the-less.

Cool shot! This reminds me of the Rembrandt painting titled "The Philosopher". It has the same feeling with the contrasts of light and dark with a staircase view and the window. This is the reverse view from the painting. Take a look at the painting and you'll see what I mean.

Very nice contrast between light and dark. The light area is an interesting shape and there is a contrast of diagonals and squares in the two areas. Altogether it becomes quite a complex image.
