It has the power of a 2000mm lense. I added a 40 mm lense to that for better viewing.

Michael,

A little modification of the levels can improve the image's contrast. I also rotated the image...

Great shot, Michhael. The Moon has been so tempting these last few nights and we have actually had some clear weather. I did not post a full Moon. However, I posted a few Moon shots taken through my telescope.
Clear skies to you. Mary

Very good image, good idea to use the telescope and the Optio together. I was somewhat shocked at first when I saw the camera until I found the info about the telescope. My photo only has more contrast because I modified it with the "levels" tool in PS.

Thanks for the info Michael. I was afraid I was tripping out or somthing. Not good for a grandpa.
Very nicely done image.

My telescope does that. It flips the image.

Michael, I shot the same image tonight, 3/25/05. However, my moon has the large crater on the bottom right. Yours shows the large crater on the left hand side. How strange. Did you happen to flip the image by chance? I can't download mine for another 24 hours. Just downloaded "Grandson"
Nice shot and fun stuff.
