The cropped picture does look great. However, I see the original with the path as an invitaiton to come down 'To The Sea'. In this context, the path is the thing. Saying that, I scrolled my moniter view up, 'cropping' off a bit of the path to just below the little green tuft and I thought it made the picture more balanced. Great shot. Mary -

Thanks for your comment!! I was using a split gradient filter and I did some PS work to balance the exposure.

Hi Cliff,
Awesome picture, and magnificient colours! I am sure the composition was visualized this way, however the path leading to the sea shore slightly dilutes the wonderful colours of the sky and the sea!
I took the liberty of cropping the sky, upto the first wave down, and it looks wonderful to me (attached herewith). Overall a great capture!
