About For my cousin... for the problem she's facing right now with her family. I just hope that one day, their problem would come to fade.... I miss this home so much.

This home used to be full of people, family members and relatives, full of fun and joy... this is where my cousin lives with her family, and where I used to live as well. But now, there's always emptiness in here...

In this photo, try to imagine happiness before emptiness... try to imagine the laughter that echoed in this living room... the singing voices, the piano playing, the strumming of acoustic guitar, so much fun, so much memories....

....slowly fading...

Sometimes I wonder why there are broken families... why? I hope you're family have an intact and strong foundation...

Hi Dirck,
The window was totally overexposed even in my original shot. Tried to lower that a bit but then decided to used the original contrast for the window to add atmosphere and a feeling of loneliness. Anyway, Thank you so much for such a wonderful message and for your suggestion! It means a lot to me. I enjoy learning from you guys!

Keep Shootin' From The Heart,

Dear Larry,
I can understand your sorrow. Feel sorry about your cousin. I hope she will get back soon and may your memory could be cherished again.
This is really a moody and conceptual picture, anyway. The empty room, empty chairs, and an abandoned doll represents the sadness feeling, but with the dramatic light coming out of the window, it sure represents hopes in every single meaning. Very good composition, my friend. Take care.

Wonderful and poignant photo, Larry - you really captured a mood here! Combined with the story in your 'about' it makes for a very moving and melancholy image. A bit overexposed in the window, but not necessarily a bad thing here, since it adds to the dreamlike feeling. Great job!

Larry..a very heartfelt shot, well done! I think the stuffed bunny on the floor speaks volumes, and your feelings come through beautifully in this image.

I hope you don't mind, I tried a little tighter crop and tweaked the tones...what do you think?

A professional approach to this powerful image, which caries a sad story, hope the days will bring all the family together, super use of frontal direct sun light. Saeed
