Thank you Paul. I know what you meant, though, about portraits that are "too soft." Your comment didn't bother me at all. In this business I'm learning that it's the client's taste that is the most important thing. She was shown two versions, and chose this softer one. That's why I posted it. I have created some portraits that were too soft, and am working to combine the softness with sharp features that should be kept that way. So don't hesistate to share your feeling with me, I appreciate your input.

One general rule about softening:
soften skin, but leave the eyes and teeth nice and sharp. I think this is too soft (what I refer to as the 'Elizabeth Taylor filter').
