Peaceful mood, and most excellent white balance. Being a user of the D70 myself, what white balance settings did you use for this?

hi hiroshi - thank you for your comments. What made this piece special to me was exactly what you say - that eventhough the focus is on the grass & it is by far the main subject of the piece - i like how my eye gets pulled back into the light & mushy backgroud of the seashore & sky beyond. Thank you.

Really beautiful Jennifer. The really shallow DOF makes this image and I do like the tones in it a lot. I thought you had post-processed it at first... Very special image indeed. Best regards Seano

Jennifer..j'aime tes photos..elles ont le goût (taste) de la légèreté et sont un appel à la vie...elles apportent quelque chose de très rare : l'émotion

great picture. i like this pictorial expression.
i watched this photograph and understood it immediately when a main theme was the part which became dim of a background. though focus fits dry grass, i think that it is introduction.
however, because a title is "warm grass", my thought may be wrong.

I feel the same, like the warm color of the grass as a herald of spring (we have the first sunny days and thaw here). A nice effect the blurry bokeh (really f:5,6 and not wide open ?) in contrast with the crisp detail of the foreground.
