Karen: Nice to see a fellow Georgian on UF. I am from Hartwell, Ga. in North esat Ga. I live about 400 feet from Huge Lake Hartwell, which extends to two states. So I see these scenes like this often. Some of the happiest days of my life were fishing with my Friends and with my Dad. Very nice Photo Chuck

Great shot Karen ? a gentle and archetypal picture, immediately connecting viewers anywhere in the world to the timeless experience of the elderly figure introducing a child to the meditative delights of fishing ? I personally endured such afternoons with my own father ? countless and often deadly boring hours? ;-)? Maybe Antonia has a point - enriching the tones slightly may serve the image... I would have framed the moment vertically so as to not cut the fishing rod nor the tree tops, ( the little boy centrally holding the rod sky bound ties-in the shot) Of course this would have forced the work to be square framed, but that would be fine. But it is the ?atmosphere? of the shot you captured that has power. I like it a lot. C

This I like for all the same reasons I liked the other...great perspective, mood and composition. It is slightly low in contrast, which looks fine, but this one has even more potential in my eyes. I would look at the histogram in levels and punch up the lights and darks a bit just to add more spark. That's all. Antonia

I love it! I have a pic almost just like this of my son and his grandpa fishing. Looks like a great day to be lazy! God Bless Grandparents!
