So, with the camera ready in my hands, I was pointing the trees and the clouds, when suddenly,the
thunderbolt "fired" up.
Then I shooted.

The birds flying off make a particularly nice touch. You got the bare trees highlighted by the lightning just right. Consider toning this with blue. A very dramatic shot. It makes me glad I wasn't there. Congratulations!
