About
Used a red filter on a dictionary ,still working on this technique. This is reletivly easy, the hard part is getting the light, the right intensity so as not to get hot spots on the page. The light passing through the filter colors the heart. The shape of the heart is made by the curvature of the pages.Light needs to be at about 30 degrees to the page. One other thing is your light source needs to be small and bright , use a hand held flash and fire it off with the test button thats why I used a 1 sec shuttle speed and a very small aperture. Set the timer on the camera when it goes off you have one second to hit the test button on the flash, a really long time in the photography. world. You need to take the picture in a darkened room set your camera to manual.I used a 1 second shutter speed and a F32 Aperture. Good Luck!

Another just amazing image. I always think Judi L has more hours in her day than mostof us, and you must be another one. Such creativity, imagination and technical knowledge, combined with fine photography skills, you just can't beat that, and leaves me in awe - again!!!!.

This is cool. I really liked the ring one, because of the concept. But this is neat too since it puts off the red glow. I guess this would be for those who are practically married to their photography?? :0)
