What a gorgeous view, and to have it from your room even better, the clouds have an amazing color in them and against the sun lit mountain and silhouetted trees they really stand out. Alison

Yes Markus, yes I was very lucky. Its said that many tourist goes back empty handed when attempting to view Kanchenzdonga. This was very early in the morning, I woke up around four only to find the whole peak covered with clouds as it rained heavily the night before. My hotel people told me that was a good sign as it normally clears of after a heavy rain. But seeing the clouds I felt disappointed, but after a few minutes I heard my neighbouring hotel room tourists shouting in exitement. I came out and there it was. But just only for a few minutes.

Beautiful picture, so classic, but this always works. It looks that it was really good luck that you sucsseed to capture this mountain. I beleive that zoom was extended to the maximum. Certainly nice work!

Excellent shot. I originally thought it was part of the cloud enhanced by the sunlight. But when I saw the big picture I realised it wasn't.
