This is such a powerful image Chris. The toning you have is nothing short of magic. And just look at that sky - incredible.

more than a bit of Spracklen pixie dust sprinkled on this ;-)

I like it though. The gull maybe needs toning with the landscape.

Good work

Nice PS work, Chris. Pulling the red out in the chair and muting the balance really works for me! Nicely done! Best regards, Larry.

I like the work you did on this one, Chris! It's a great composition! I especially like the deck chair adding some colour in the basically monochromatic image.

to me the framing appear to be a bit heavy; I am not sure but I can also see the bird as not real, isn't it? what I like is the good contrast in the blue-navy color and the red of those lines on the ground

Whenever, however, whatever, its a very good image. I wonder if the gull was always there. It matters not but I really like the shot

Great composition and nice selective toning. I think it would work just as well without the tacked on gull - I find it distracting and makes it all a bit busy.

Best wishes,

Craig Garland   {K:27077} 3/2/2005
Hi Chris; I really like this-- a very dramatic image due to the colors and the sky. The red/white chair really grabs the eye and is nicely done. I think too that you did a good job with the seagull, but quite frankly, I don't think an image this strong needs it-- but that's just my thought.

Thanks for comments on my South Cove photo. I'm really beginning to like soft early evening light like this one has-- even though this won't attract much attention here on UF. I think I'm going to print it BIG;>) Cheers. Craig
