About Don't leave me alone.
All children have fears.
How do we interpret them?
Or is it how they see them?

Listen to their hearts,
listen to their words.
Look into their eyes,
we are in their world.

Come closer within.
the world is so big.
With harm within arms reach.
It is us that they beseech.

To help them understand,
as only they know true.
Their fears are real.
We have to guide them through.

Another from the torch series.

The torch series is simply the pictures of Nikolas taken in darkness except for the small torch he is holding to his face.

Children don`t know fear. We parents make them feel like that. The photo resembles a mirror in wich you can see a family condition where parents are splitted apart and the children feel no protection.Do we really listen to their hearts?,to their words? Or do they feel our fears?.

wow!! very touching Judi, i love the dramatic image and your words.... i believe even we adults have fears as well, ok, well, i do...:) but, my fears have become sucha part of me they really are what drives me, makes me tick. My fears are like an old friend whom you never really liked in the first place, yet shows himself from time to time just to remind you he's there.... wonderful image and words, Judi...

Hey....you have nothing to be sorry for. For you to enquire about the lips is a compliment, as it means that you find the image worthy of looking closely at and seeing the fine details. So chin up buddy. It seems it is you that is down this time round. HMMM!!!

Lipstick?? Oh, okay. The image of the boys face was taken in darkness using a small torch under his face which gave him quite an orange glow. I then changed the hues of the face which resulted in what you see. I left the lips semi vibrant to give the face some depth.

What a haunting, almost disturbing image, Judi. I think you've done an excellent job of capturing the theme of childhood fear. Quite a change of pace from the flowers, waterfalls and pretty skies... Another challenging portrait well done. Kurt

Aaahh, you have such cute kids Judi (most of the time)! Such a good rendition of the intensity of fears in dreams by children. The words are so true, "their fears are real", and sometimes that which lies behind the dream is also. Great work once again.
