well... you can use a styro foam for same use of a reflector,(perhaps you can find it at supermarket or book store) and i guess a styro foam much much cheaper than a reflector. good luck nancy... :)

Thanks for your nice words on this one as well...I think I'm going to look into getting a reflector as you suggested! I don't have a lot of camera accessories yet - just a few things, but I imagine a reflector isn't very expensive. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Oh, Margaret, you're just too funny! Sunflowers are very tall, and I didn't have to lie down at all to get this - I only had to stand in front of it. Just had to search through the field of sunflowers until I found the perfect one, that's all! I looked at many of your photos just now, and you're one heck of a terrific photographer! Thanks again for the nice words!

An unusual angle and background, but it works very well, It makes me wonder how you managed to get such an angle, it looks like one, if I got inthat position, I may never get up again LOL Margaret

Thanks a lot for your comments on my sunflower, James. It is very much appreciated. I looked quickly at some of yours, and you have taken some *amazing* floral photographs. One of these days, I need to learn how to do that against a black background as you have. I haven't figured that out yet!

A great picture, I really like your choice of low shooting angle for 2 reasons.
1. It has filled the background with the blues and yellows of the sunset which makes for a great undistracting background. 2. The low angle has increased the apparent size of the sunflower making it look huge and imposing so it dominates the shot.
Thanks.
