Thanks for your input ian. I think i prefer it with the noise because you lose to much detail I think when you soften it. Generally my photos are pretty contrasty and it seems like (i may be wrong) that it makes the photo a bit flatter. I really appreciate your help though, and I think that minimizing the noise a little may have made the photo better. But your example is a bit soft for me. Thanks so much for your opinion and help though.

Hi Kat, Well done another great image. The composition is really excellent here, i also love the shallow depth of field. I don't really think that the noise takes away from the shot too much, it almost fits in with the shot. Keep em coming, can't wait to see some shots from your D70. cheers.

Here's my quick attempt at removing noise. Obviously it might not be your cup of tea and some detail has been lost on the figure standing up. Let me know what you think.

Intriguing perspective making a very interesting shot. I particularly like the shallow depth of field. I imagine you made this image intentionally quite grainy but I feel it might be more impressive with the noise removed. I'll give it a go and post the result.
