About Lilly taken in artificial light, plain black backdrop. Camera set to macro, white balance to tungsten preset and picture quality to minimum compression. ISO set to 64, tripod used and timer release. I prefer lillies just before they are fully open, they have a great shape. This is looking up beneath the lilly, I think it gives it a dominating quality. I prefer the one I posted before but all people are different, so please say what you think.

Love it!! Great view so it's symmetric, yet not a straight left-to-right mirror. Great lighting too.

Beautiful macro and unusual angle. I like the water droplets hanging off the edges.

I thin kthe reprise does justice to revisiting a fatastic flower like the lilly. This picture is more wholistic of flowers and their structure. the water drops do add to the total shot. The petal illumination is also a very good quality. Very professional.

Seeing your floral closeups, I pray winter does not end there, so you will continue shooting them.

Yes Peter the lighting was from one single "reading lamp" diffused with thin paper plus a little light from the ceiling light. I was trying to give some of the petals a translucent effect while keeping some more "normal" to get a full range of tones.

Thanks for your time and comment.

OK, James, where did you hide the water spraygun? ;~} Wonderful Photograph James, Great Colors and Clarity. Very well presented. I presume the lighting was your choice from the back side...

Thanks for sharing,
Peter Daniel
