Nice series. I like the colours, the angular composition and the nice selective focus very much.

I'm a coffee freak and like photographs related to this subject. Nice colours used and subjects focused on. However the two images may look better in a kind of reverse - ie the image of the red object inverted and at the left fram, while the green cup/saucer reversed and therefore in the right frame?

I love this one! Great complementarity of colours and shapes in the two halves.. I gues you got tired of all those hours in the darkroom for the Vasen series and now you want to do som quick and 'Hurried' digital shots! ;) Anyway, I like everything you do!

Coffee... an integral part of our lives... we can and can?t at the same time live without it... and indeed, the different points of day that we "enjoy" it, is cleverly represented here by the different cup colors... though abstract presented, one can get a glimse of its own life... the softness in the pics shows me the little attention we give at the process... again, our mind is trying to organise all things to catch up with time... and yes, i could agree more with your about... we end up drinking coffee (despite the caffeine) in order to relax!!???!!! our modern life is full of paradox moments!!!! simply exceptional artwork!!!! love the way you put your thoughts in pics dear Jeanette... the result is more than interesting and thought provoking!!!! hugs... emy :)

Nice pair, complement each other well, in colour and form. The composition in abstract work is everso important and you've made an excellent job of it. The one thing to say is that I think the left image should be either more or less in focus, it feels a bit vaguely in between. Maybe that's just personal preference.

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 2/10/2005
Excellent, Jeanette! I love the strong graphical nature of this diptych, and what wonderful, soft colors! I especially like the little glow of red along the lip of the cup at right, and the subtle blur overall (coffee shake? :) From one coffee lover to another - I love it!

Thanks Carlheinz! Yes i agree, what is most close to us is easy to ignore..... and what exist between A and B, the transportation to work (for example). No need to go abroud.... :)
(....even though that is more existing)

...Coffee that I am drinking now, and what more perfect a drink to drink fast (before it gets too cold). I like how the blur is in the second cup. I don't think you could have done any better in composing these images, and its amazing how well they fit together, even the colors are so complimentary to each other. There are so many ways you can go for this hurry series, just with this one idea with the coffee, it should be interesting to see what else you will do with it. Well done, lovely work~

Hi Jeanette,

it was the light motive of my life until the last april...I have done a votive offering, never coffee any more:-((
Luckily from your shot I can imagine the scent;-))

This is a new style, minimaliste, clean, like in AD. I like it.

From one coffee fan to another....I like this new project you've started. For me the colors and composition are all important and you seem to have achieved this perfectly. Also like the frame choice. My only problem is that it reminds me too much of Ikea...!

Well done Jeanette.
