Hi James! Glad to see Maya Bay is doing well again. But the disaster was horrible and left this place a sad memory.

Joe, the composition here was easy. This photo was taken less than 60 days after the tsunami and as a result, Maya Bay (which is usually crowded with boats and people) was almost empty. As far as I know, Maya Bay is now, once again, as crowded as ever.

Great shot! I really love the color and cleanliness of the water. The rocks behind is a good backdrop for the photo. Excellent composition.

This is defenitely a classic beauty, wish I was there and not in the cold. You have captured beautiful color through out the photo. Great detail. I would think everyone would be in the water. Alison

great capture, wishing i was there right now, and i do believe it really does remind me of the image from the movie the beach... the two mountains look the same and the water color of the inclosed bay feels like the same... wonderful capture, so peacefull and prestine..
