The far ridge is the one which goes from South East to North West, looking twards Beacon Hill. The same ridge has Coomb Gibbet further to the west.
I used to walk with my dogs at the chase quite a bit, but the area we now walk at Greenham is easier when you've got 4 dogs! It's also very interesting with, deer, herons, swans sometimes and lots of interesting plats and fungi.
Nice composition, especially with the layering of the background. Whereabouts on the downs is this taken? I'm in the local area and have a few photos posted from round here, particularly the downs and the chase.
