Last saturday we had an open day at our research institute, with science exhibits, interactive demonstrations, movies, etc... lots of people came, mostly children with their parents. While this little girl looked in amazement at some colorful chemical reactions, I could only think how we, scientists, are just grown-up kids, forever amazed at the wonders and mysteries of our World.
Nice colorful shot. Kids, tubes, and chemicals... that can only mean bubbles, smoke, fire, and explosions! I expect that this pic is the first of a series and that we'll get to see the special effects later on.

A expressao da menina foi muito bem captada, realmente :) Ve-se bem que ela ainda nao sabe o que esta por detras destes tubos coloridos...Quando eu tenho que passar mais de 24 horas no lab a seguir curvas de crescimento, nao saio de la com uma cara destas Para se ser cientista, temos mesmo que ser um bocado loucos (e, as vezes, principalmente se trabalhando em Portugal, masoquistas!)...
